TABS Inc. provides assistance and guidance to foreign companies when starting or expanding their business in the U.S. TABS currently has offices in New York, Humble, TX, and The Netherlands. Due to our recent growth, we are seeking a full-time Business Development Support Officer (hybrid in NYC) who will be working under the direct supervision of the Business Development Team Lead. The Business Development Support Officer actively pursues new business prospects, orchestrates communication with potential and new clients, oversees the onboarding process for these accounts, and extends support to the Business Development Team Lead whenever required. This role opens opportunities for future team lead role.


Responsibilities

  • Organizes and engages in introductory calls/meetings with prospects to discuss TABS’ services and explore how TABS can contribute to their ventures in the US.
  • Subsequently follows up on introductory calls with tailor-made service proposals, aligning with the outcome of the meeting.
  • Ensures timely responses to service proposals and addresses related inquiries. Manages contact and lead information in the CRM software.
  • Updates and maintains status reports on Opportunities within the CRM software. Assists in conducting “Know Your Customer” checks to validate potential new clients and their details.
  • Gathers client information to generate a Service Agreement, dispatches the Service Agreement, and notifies the Business Development Manager, Office Manager, and Accounting about new clients, assigning tasks for client setup in QBO (Accounting), ShareFile setup (Office Manager), and initiates the client introduction to team leaders for service setup.
  • Guides and aids new clients in completing setup documents like bank opening documents and SS4 forms.
  • Functions as a mentor to interns and trainees within the Business Development team.
  • Coordinates, under the supervision of the Business Development Team Lead, with the Business Relations Team regarding client handovers post onboarding by service teams.
  • Provides support to the Spanish Business Development Team by assisting in proposals and service agreements.
  • Attend Networking Events to engage with prospective and existing partners.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or High School Diploma and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Business Operations.
  • Displays expertise in Customer Service.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, both over the phone and in person, primarily in English. Proficiency in German or Nordic language is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Has networks or experience networking in Germany, Belgium, and/or the Nordic countries.
  • Comfortable attending network events and networking with partners.
  • Experience working with diverse international teams.
  • Experience with international business and/or trade (preferably Europe).
  • Experience with commercial business.
  • Exhibits computer literacy with proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe, and other pertinent applications, with additional knowledge of CRM programs considered advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in multitasking and overseeing multiple projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working with and preserving confidential information.
  • Comfortable performing administrative tasks and repetitive work with ease.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Able to delegate and manage a small team.
  • Bilingual in German or a Nordic language is a plus but not required.
  • Business insurance brokerage license (preferred but not mandatory).
  • This position will require occasional domestic and international travel.
